Invisco Rooftop Whole House Fan Now Pulls 8000 CFM at 505 Watts

Homeowners with no attics have not been able to get a good whole house fan until now. Invisco combined the high performance of the Invisco Tornado rooftop turbine gravity ventilator with the best US Motors EC motor and the best high flow Multi-Wing blade to achieve air flow never seen before in a 20 inch diameter throat.

Temecula, CA, March 18, 2017 --(PR.com)-- Invisco Whole House Fan Company is now the leader in performance and price for whole house fans that are rafter mounted or rooftop mounted.

Kurt Shafer, founder and inventor at Invisco, discovered late 2016 that the whole house fan he shipped all year had more power to be tapped. Initially it was rated at 4700 CFM using a 1/2 HP US Motors EC motor, but Kurt noticed that the motor got to rated RPM at just 1/2 the speed input voltage available.

EC (electronically commutated brushless DC) motors have infinitely variable speed capability although Invisco is the only company in America to offer this feature. All other suppliers offer discrete speeds. The speed is controlled by an input voltage from 0 to 10 volts DC. Kurt noticed that his 4700 CFM was achieved at just 5 volts input. Upon consulting with US Motors he learned that the motor had more torque available. So he contacted Multi-Wing and ordered a higher performance blade.

The new blade loaded the motor perfectly, achieving 8000 CFM at 505 watts input when running in free air. When this fan was connected to the 8 foot long 20 inch flexible duct used in ducted whole house fans it pulls 6,320 CFM. The high input power would usually be seen as a motor overload but upon monitoring the motor temperature Kurt found there was a hot spot but that it never got over 114 degrees F. US Motors confirmed that was well below the design capability of the motor. It was agreed that the huge amount of air flow kept the motor well within its operating capability.

So for 2017 you can now get the highest performance whole house fans in history at the best price in the market. The rafter mounted and ducted ES6320 (ES is energy saver) is priced at $1,795, about $50 lower than the only other source. The ER8000 rooftop whole house fan is priced at $2,248. Both come with butterfly dampers, a 15 year warranty and wireless remote speed control and AC power control.
