Christian Lahoude Studio’s Aishti by the Sea Selected as Architizer A+ Awards Finalist

Christian Lahoude Studio's Aishti by the Sea project has been selected as a finalist in Architizer's A+ Awards in the shopping center category.

New York, NY, March 23, 2017 --(PR.com)-- Christian Lahoude Studios is pleased to announce that its Aishti by the Sea Foundation and Mall has been selected as a finalist in the Architizer A+ Awards Shopping Center Category. The Architizer A+ Awards represents the best of architecture and design worldwide, receiving more than 100 entries.

Winners are chosen by an impressive jury including such industry luminaries as Denise Scott Brown, Bjarke Ingels and Tom Kundig, as well as personalities from beyond architecture like Tony Hsieh (CEO, Zappos), Yves Behar (Fuseproject), John Edelman (CEO, Design Within Reach), Cameron Sinclair (Architecture for Humanity) and Barry Bergdoll (MoMA). The public is also invited to vote for its favorite entry by visiting https://vote.architizer.com/PublicVoting#/winners/2017/typology/commercial/shopping-center through March 30, 2017. One A+ Award finalist in every category will win a Popular Choice Award based on the number of public votes received.

Built in 2015, the six-level Aishti Foundation and Mall in Beirut, Lebanon, represents the perfect marriage of culture and luxury shopping experience. There are 60 in-store boutiques, representing the most sought-after brands in fashion including Alexander Wang and Marc Jacobs, as well as five restaurants, an Urban Retreat spa and a rooftop pool.

“We are very honored to be named a finalist in the prestigious Architizer A+ Awards for our Aishti by the Sea project,” said Christian Lahoude of Christian Lahoude Studio. “Being Lebanese-born, this project was especially meaningful to me and I hope that it enhances the shopping experience for all who visit. Given the scale of the project, it was fascinating to see how a similar design/idea can carry through the entire building by the change of colors and material and can cater to all demographics by creating different moods.”
