2nd Annual World Dog Surfing Championships on August 5th in Northern California

San Francisco, CA, April 28, 2017 --(PR.com)-- TCB Cafe Publishing and TasteTV are happy to announce that the 2nd Annual World Dog Surfing Championships will take place on August 5th, 2017, on the Northern California coast, near San Francisco.

The World Championships for Dog Surfing take place on the Northern California coast -- where the concept for the dog surfing sport originated -- bringing together the best in local and international dog surfing talent. The world's top dog surfers as well as amateurs are invited to bring home the gold.

Top dog surfers as well as happy amateurs are invited to bring home the Golden Surfie.

During the event there will be a number of activities including the surf competition, dog beach fashion contest, dog adoptions, partner tents and activities, and more.

Entrants can also help fundraise for charities such as the Peninsula Humane Society, and Rocket Dog Rescue. Other Partners include Pet Renu, Fido Pet Products, and Clubcard Printing.

Events highlights include the Dog Surfing Competition, Dog beach fashion contest, Dog adoptions, Partner tents and activities, and ongoing interviews by TasteTV.

This dog charity sporting event is organized by TasteTV, which also published the first book on how to teach your dog to surf ("The Dog's Guide to Surfing: Hanging Ten with Man's Best Friend"), as well as conceived and promoted the idea for the very first dog surfing event, which took place in San Diego in the mid-2000's. Dog Surfing events have since then spread throughout Southern California to Texas, Florida, Hawaii, Australia, and even Great Britain.
