2nd Annual International Day of Yoga Celebrations in San Mateo on June 21st

Last year's event drew over 250 participants and this year's celebration, sponsored by Nandi and Lululemon, will include free yoga classes for adults and children, kirtan and meditation.

“By proclaiming June 21 as the International Day of Yoga, the General Assembly has recognized the holistic benefits of this timeless practice and its inherent compatibility with the principles and values of the United Nations,” noted Ban Ki-Moon, the UN’s Secretary General, in December 2014. The first International Day of yoga was observed around the world on June 21, 2015 with over a million participants across 84 nations.
