Author and Educator MDonnell Tenner, M.Ed Partners with Genius is Common© to Propel a Generation Forward

New York, NY, June 28, 2017 --(PR.com)-- International educator and urban school turnaround specialist, MDonnell Tenner knows the power of Genius. He has used his own to change outlooks on failing school systems, encouraged students domestically and abroad to meet their individual capabilities and worked with communities to create the “village” it takes to raise a child. As the Founder and Executive Director of Foundation 240, utilizing out of the box methods to reach children is the standard.

A serendipitous meeting via professional social network LinkedIn brought Bruce George’s Genius is Common© movement directly to Tenner’s wheelhouse. The Genius is Common© movement motivates individuals to identify and utilize their own personal genius to improve the world around them. Through user generated video vignettes and co-branded events and merchandising, Genius is Common© and Foundation 240 will work together to bring the Genius Movement to the forefront of the education community.

“If children are living and learning differently, we need to connect and teach differently. The I Am Genius movement gives educators the opportunity to help guide students through a critical thinking process to determine where their gifts lie. This is the kind of enrichment that today’s learners need in order to find their places in the world academically, socially and civicly,” notes MDonnell Tenner.

MDonnell Tenner begins his 240 Ways to Close the Achievement Gap book tour in the fall of 2017 and will receive the 2017 Diamond Award for Excellence in Education in Atlanta, Georgia on November 17, 2017.
