Video Testimonials Pack Powerful Punch

Midwest Digital Agency Collaborates with National Organization in Creation of Online Video Series

Cedar Rapids, IA, July 21, 2017 --(PR.com)-- Video has a way of taking its viewers on a journey; one more immersive and interactive than written words or audio. With over 1 billion users, nearly one-third of all people on the internet today use YouTube (YouTube). Recognized as a popular video sharing platform and the 2nd largest search engine in the world, YouTube represents the power of video in the digital age. Informatics Inc., a full-service digital agency located in Cedar Rapids, Iowa is helping clients leverage the power of video and other visual and audio capabilities for maximum online impact and reach.

“More than ever before, people are inundated with information,” says Maureen Kler Osako, partner and CMO with Informatics. “Businesses are challenged to break through the distractions in order to connect with their target audiences,” she continues. Data shows that video, audio, and imagery are proving to be more effective tactics for capturing the attention of distracted users. According to one source, videos are processed by the brain 60,000 times faster than text and viewers become more immersed in the topics and create empathetic connections with the screen.

The average consumer with an Internet connection watches roughly 206 videos per month, and Nielsen claims 64 percent of marketers expect video to dominate their strategies in the near future. Source: Psychology Today, Liraz Margalist Ph.D, Video vs Text: The Brain Perspective

Recent technological advancements, including Facebook Live, embedded email videos and augmented reality continue to support this trend.

One organization that understands the power and emotional impact of video is The Senior Health Information Program (SHIP). SHIP provides free, one-on-one insurance counseling and assistance to Medicare beneficiaries and caregivers. They operate in all 50 states, the District of Columbia, Guam, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands. SHIP opted to enlist the services of Informatics to film a series of in-studio and on-site testimonial videos in several locations throughout the United States. The purpose of these short videos is to help recruit SHIP volunteers and educate the public about the value of the SHIP program in a very personal way.

SHIP’s first set of videos were released in July 2017 and were met with praise and recognition by viewers at a National SHIP conference.

“Most businesses and organizations today are challenged to maintain existing customers and clients while also seeking new prospects,” says Kler Osako. “Finding creative communication and marketing solutions that can reach people where they are at is critical to success.
