NBC's "The Voice" Finalist Sa'Rayah to Perform at the Love International Film Festival

The Chicago native fell in love with music as a young child. Sa’Rayah started her journey as a singer in her family’s church. She performed her first song at the tender age of 5. Her love of music grew, as she got older. Sa’Rayah received the Illinois Music Educator’s Association Award of Excellence (IMEA) multiple times. She has also received superior rankings in vocal competitions around the Chicago area. Sa’Rayah studied and acquired a Degree in Performing Arts with an emphasis on musical theater and vocal performance.

Sa’Rayah is known throughout the world for her stellar performances on NBC’s Season 11 of The Voice. Celebrity coaches Alicia Keys and Miley Cyrus both led the blooming artist throughout the Six-Time Emmy Award-Winning reality show. Sa’Rayah initially selected team Miley, who paired her with fellow contestant Aaron Gibson; the pair proved to be a huge success. Sa’Rayah and Aaron’s striking performance of Joe Bonamossa and Beth Hart’s, “I’ll Take Care Of You” landed them #1 on the iTunes Charts, where they remained for weeks. Sa’Rayah achieved greater heights under the direction of her new coach, Alicia Keys, when they debuted her breathtaking rendition of Etta James and Beyonce’s “I’d Rather Go Blind,” which again landed her in the number #1 spot on the iTunes Charts. Sa’Rayah was blessed to have shared The Voice stage with music notables such as: Kiss, Sting, Bruno Mars, Cam, The Weekend, John Legend, Kelly Clarkson, Ariana Grande, and with the incomparable and legendary Stevie Wonder!

Since The Voice, Sa’Rayah was invited by The Black Aids Institute to perform at its Annual Heroes in the Struggle Gala and Award Show, honoring Mr. Lee Daniels, creator of FOX’s hit show, Empire. Shortly after, she performed alongside such notables as R&B artists, K. Michelle and Ro James to raise funds for youth suffering from HIV/Aids. She most recently shared the stage with headlining artists, Chrisette Michele and Melanie Fiona at the popular Country Club Hills Amphitheater. Sa’Rayah has been acknowledged and featured on several major network televised shows in Chicago including ABC’s Windy City Live, WCIU’s You&Me In the Morning, WGN Channel 9 News, and NBC’s Channel 5 Morning and Evening News.
