About Madeira Beach
Madeira Beach, or "Mad Beach" as it's known to the locals, is an island town made up of approximately 4,500 residents. While a small portion of the city lies on the mainland, the majority of the land that makes up the city of Madeira Beach is bordered on the west by the white sands of Gulf of Mexico, and on the east by the intracoastal waterway. The northern border is shared with Redington Beach and the southern border is John's Pass bridge, shared with Treasure Island. There are points within the city where the land is less than 100 yards wide. The city's unofficial slogan is "two miles long and a smile wide."
