Madeira Beach, FL, August 24, 2017 --(PR.com)-- Rescued in partnership with Clearwater Marine Aquarium

A sea turtle hatchling was found outside the Engel & Völkers Madeira Beach shop Monday, August 14. Miraculously the sea turtle made it across Gulf Blvd and into the landscaping outside the shop. An employee found the baby turtle and the shop worked together to create a makeshift shelter and contact the Clearwater Marine Aquarium for support. The group named the turtle Edge after Engel & Völkers recently released Extensive Domestic & Global Exposure platform. The name was also inspired by the turtle's danger filled journey to the shop.

Clearwater Marine Aquarium volunteers arrived quickly to transport Edge to the aquarium for evaluation. In a social media post, the aquarium said, "Thanks so much for calling us. This little guy is getting some rest and will be released shortly!"

"We call Madeira Beach home, just like the little turtle," said Ashley Pedone, team assistant. "We are so thankful we were able to help rescue the turtle. Since about only 1 in 100 survive, it is essential we are vigilant and proactive in protecting our turtles."
