"Glitz, Glam & Giving" Fresno's Back to School Giveaway

Local Beauty Boutique hosted their first annual back-to-school clothing drive and full make-over giveaway for teenagers in the community.

Fresno, CA, August 24, 2017 --(PR.com)-- On Saturday, August 12, Seasoned Trends Studios Salon and Boutique in Downtown Fresno, hosted their first annual “Glitz, Glam, & Giving” back-to-school clothing drive and make-overs for Fresno pre-teen and teenage girls. The clothing drive kicked off at Seasoned Trends on August 1. Family, friends, community members and other business owners contributed to the Glitz, Glam & Giving clothing drive, dropping lightly worn clothes off in the weeks leading to the make-overs. Over 20 young women received full make-overs from head-to-toe. Make-Overs included clothes, shoes, make-up, nails, and hair preparing the middle- and high schoolers for their first week back-to-school.

Over 17 local business and business owners contributed their services to produce this successful back to school event. Businesses contributed their services include: Clinay Wills of Seasoned Trends Studio, along with Alma Cortez (Brows By Alma), Chasitie Neal (Braids By Chaz), and Serena Gonzalez (Beauty By Serena); Nia Hodge-Grier of Another Level Hair Studio, Hair Braider Tawana Jones, Gwenette Lewis of House of Lewis Nails, Jocelyn Gutierrez (Eyebrow Lady Joss), Brianna Knight (Artistically Correct), Stylist and Nail Tech Angelica Collins, Deja Murphy (Glam By Deja), Nails By Caitlin. Snacks were provided by Tatihana Manning of Glamrus Bakes and product donations were provided by Ashante Smallwood of Princess Asia’s Collection, LLC and Shikelia Joyce of Nappy Queens. Photography was provided by Adrian Harris of Fresno Vibe, and music was provided by Fresno State’s DJ Hunnit K.
