Orange County Chapter of The Charitable Foundation Raises $6,000 for Nonprofit Devoted to Kids with Life-Threatening Illnesses

Costa Mesa, CA, September 08, 2017 --(PR.com)-- The lives of children with cancer and other life-threatening illnesses are a little brighter thanks to an event by the Orange County chapter of The Charitable Foundation that raised $6,000 for the nonprofit Miracles for Kids.

The chapter, comprised of agents from Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices California Properties, held a celebration at The Center Club in Costa Mesa, attended by more than 150 people.

"It was a magical evening and The Center Club was the perfect choice of venue," chapter president Dee Shiohama said. “The Orange County agents that came to support Miracle for Kids enjoyed a delicious Mexican buffet dinner, dancing, and spirits. Thanks to our board members, we were able to secure amazing sponsors and silent auction items that helped to make this evening truly a success.”

All proceeds were recently presented to Tustin-based Miracles for Kids, whose mission is to improve the lives of children with cancer and other life-threatening illnesses. Information and a donation page are at miraclesforkids.org.
