Alumni, Kevin and Lisa Crichton Pledge a Generous Donation to Rowan University for New Roher College of Business

Cherry Hill, NJ, September 18, 2017 --(PR.com)-- Alumni, Kevin Alexander Crichton along with wife, Lisa Renee Williams Crichton were honored by Rowan University for their vital support and generous pledge which will in part, helped fund the new four-story, 98,300 square-foot academic building dedicated solely to the business school that will enable the university meet the demand and need for students to stay in New Jersey to earn their degrees and establish their careers. The Crichton’s pledge also enables Rowan to expand and enroll additional faculty and students and will serve to improve the quality of the university’s offerings as well as providing solutions to the state’s business community.

Following the alumni pledge, the university dedicated a room in the new academic building in honor of the Crichton’s legacy. The room is a collaboration room – a student workspace, furnished with a plaque dedicated to Lisa and Kevin Crichton. In addition, their names have been placed on the donor wall in the new facilities.

“Being able to give back to the local community especially in the form of education space is important to me”, stated Kevin Crichton. “The university’s fundraising efforts greatly depend on alumni and local community to support a variety of initiatives beyond the building project, ranging from research to scholastic endeavors, scholarships, capital enhancements and community outreach. We all need to be community contributors in some capacity.”

“I value the need for education expansion in New Jersey,” commented Lisa Crichton. “As a former educator myself, I believe in the university’s mission and we hope that our contributions help keep students in New Jersey not only to but to build their families and careers here, where our education investment remains home.”

“Half of their pledge will be utilized for building endowments for the college of business and the other half will be dispersed through the Dean’s Discretionary funds for mentoring programs and career center,” said Delgado in accepting their pledge. “This pledge is especially exciting for Rowan as the Crichtons are both alumni.”
