Rosendin Electric’s Kavya Paladugu Receives 2017 Women in Construction Award

ConstrucTech Recognizes Business Systems Analyst for Her Role in Implementing and Supporting Technology for Rosendin Electric.

San Jose, CA, September 20, 2017 --(PR.com)-- Rosendin Electric, an employee owned company and one of the largest electrical contractors in the U.S., is proud to announce that Kavya Paladugu, Business Systems Analyst, has been recognized by ConstrucTech Magazine with a 2017 Women in Construction Award. This Award is presented each year to the most influential women shaping the construction industry.

Kavya was selected as one of a select group of women who are having an impact on construction. In her role as Business Systems Analyst, Kavya has been responsible for the design, development, and deployment of various applications used by Rosendin Electric’s Field and Operations team. She has been instrumental in implementing new technology to Rosendin Electric’s regional offices as well as training and supporting the users. Most recently, she has been involved with developing a new corporate portal (Intranet) which is used by all the employees as one stop shop to find information at Rosendin, Moving Primavera to the cloud and supporting our operations applications.

“Kavya has been an incredible value-add to our department,” said Sam Lamonica, CIO of Rosendin Electric. “We are very lucky to have her as part of our team.”

With more than six years of experience in developing and supporting IT systems for the construction industry, Kavya serves as a mentor to other team members, drawing from her extensive experience in IT and construction to enhance team performance and find innovative solutions.

“I am honored and delighted to receive the Women in Construction Award,” said Kavya. “I am empowered to find innovative solutions that will save time and effort for the employees in my company and in the Construction Industry.”

According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, women only make up 9.3 percent of the construction workforce, and even a smaller percentage contributes to construction technology. However, these numbers are increasing year-after-year and women are dispelling myths, diversifying the workforce, and creating new opportunities for progress within the construction world. ConstrucTech’s Women in Construction awards honor those women who are not only contributors to the construction industry, but also whose passion and leadership are shaping the future of construction.
