Energy Entrepreneur Stephen L. Hightower Went on Air with the Popular Tom Joyner Morning Show.

Dallas, TX, October 12, 2017 --(PR.com)-- On September 12th, Stephen Hightower went live with Tom Joyner to discuss excellence and entrepreneurship in business, and in life. In addition, Stephen and Tom explored Stephen’s passion for philanthropy, establishing the Hightower Family Foundation, and launching his “1 Million African American Youth In A Park” initiative with the National Park Foundation.

When asked about his initiative and why there is a lack of color and diversity in our National Parks, Stephen stated, "We didn’t go to parks growing up, and what we have is a lack of exposure; having seen that type of phenomenon, that just happened naturally. We went to our families for our vacations. But, how do we change that exposure? So, what we’re looking to do is get one-million African American youth in the parks, starting with fourth graders and bringing them on up; because, there is a lot of opportunity in those parks, not just exposure of the beauty and naturalness we have there but also the jobs and opportunities in the Natural Park Services that we are just missing out totally.”

To help support Stephen’s campaign, and help achieve his goal of 1 Million African American Youth In A Park, please visit www.HightowersFF.org to donate.

In addition to his generous philanthropic endeavors, Stephen also discussed his success as a businessman and his flagship company where he serves as President and CEO, Hightowers Petroleum Co. (HPC). HPC is an energy solutions enterprise that today is recognized throughout North America for its customer service, integrity, creative fuel distribution model and expert handling of complex upstream and downstream issues. HPC continues to outperform the industry with technology, ISO quality standard, and a national distribution supply chain that satisfies blue chip “Fortune 100” customers throughout the USA, including FedEx and GM. To date, his wholesale diesel and gasoline company has 85 employees and sells 140 million gallons of oil per year. It did $350 million in sales in 2015 and hopes to hit half a billion in 2017.

Stephen serves on two boards, directly appointed by President Obama, The National Petroleum Council (through the Department of Energy) and the National Parks Foundation Board (through the Department of interior); in addition, a State of Ohio Governor appointment, board member, and membership chair for the Society of Independent Gasoline Marketers Association (SIGMA).
