Keep Irving Beautiful Teams with Vizient Volunteer Group to Paint at Lively Skate Park for “Community Day” Project

Irving, TX, October 22, 2017 --(PR.com)-- Keep Irving Beautiful (KIB) has been part of Vizient’s annual “Community Day” for the past nine years. Vizient, the nation’s largest member-owned health care services company, began this initiative fifteen years ago as a means of giving back to the communities where they have offices. Employees at their Las Colinas headquarters, as well as in offices all across the country, are given the day off work and choose from a variety of non-profit organizations to work with for the day.

This year’s KIB project involved the beautification of a very popular Irving attraction – Lively Skate Park. A total of nineteen Vizient employee volunteers gave 76 hours of service in painting the front gates and metal fencing that surrounds the skate park. The City of Irving Parks Department provided technical guidance and supplies for the project. Team leaders for the group were James Hull and Greg Schretter, both of whom had previously worked with KIB in Community Day projects, including last year’s, which was also at Lively Pointe, at the adjacent swimming pool. Previous KIB/Vizient Community Day projects included painting at Senter, Running Bear, Fritz, and Northwest Parks.

KIB Board Member Candace Eldridge commented on Vizient’s impact in the Irving community by saying, “We have a vibrant corporate community here in Irving which is getting more involved in charitable causes. Vizient has been at the forefront of that movement, and is a great sponsor and partner with KIB. They set a high standard and serve as an excellent role model for other companies to emulate in the area of corporate citizenship.”
