PR.com)-- Portuguese for Financial Markets is a course for those who are intermediate/advanced Brazilian Portuguese speakers. Lessons are anchored in current articles from Brazilian business newspapers; usually covering major events that all the students would be familiar with. The articles are carefully selected for their content, style, and linguistic level. Each student is invited to give brief presentations on current topics of interest (request for proposals, business plan, contract negotiations, …) while other students act as the intended audience, responding to and discussing the presentation. Further areas of interest may include initiating and responding to business correspondence, Brazilian email etiquette, and business phone conversations. The business environments simulated in this course include financial services, import/export, fashion, mining and engineering, depending on the students’ interest.
Brazil Ahead's Business Portuguese instructors are Brazilians with graduate degrees and several years experience with top American and Brazilian corporations.
