Pawfriendly Landscapes is Proud to Announce They Have Joined the ASPCA

Pawfriendly Landscapes, Inc. of Golden, Colorado is proud to announce they have become members of the ASPCA. Elizabeth Bublitz, owner of Pawfriendly Landscapes is an animal activist who created pet friendly yards for dog and cat owners.

Golden, CO, March 17, 2008 --(PR.com)-- Pawfriendly Landscapes, Inc. of Golden, Colorado is proud to announce they have become members of the ASPCA. Elizabeth Bublitz, owner of Pawfriendly Landscapes is an animal activist who created pet friendly yards for dog and cat owners. Bublitz established Pawfriendly Landscapes in 1998 and is celebrating its tenth anniversary by releasing her new book on how to create pet friendly yards called, "Pawfriendly Landscapes - How to Share the Turf When Your Backyard Belongs to Barney," which is co-authored by Judith H. Spurling, D.V.M and edited by Ann Diaz, M.A. of Loveland, Colorado.

According to the ASPCA's website, the ASPCA was founded in 1866 as the first humane organization in the Western Hemisphere. The Society was formed to alleviate the injustices animals faced then, and we continue to battle cruelty today. Whether it’s saving a pet who has been accidentally poisoned, fighting to pass humane laws, rescuing animals from abuse or sharing resources with shelters across the country, we work toward the day in which no animal will live in pain or fear.

Pawfriendly Landscapes has included a list of toxic plants on their website from the ASPCA. Ms. Bublitz explains, "Since most of my clients are worried which plants are toxic or wonder which plants are safe, I decided to include a list of toxic plants for all regions. However, if a homeowner can identify their plant and they don't see it on the list, they should call their local Poison Control to be sure it is safe. If they need their plant identified, they can take a clipping in a bag to a local nursery for identification." For more information, go to www.pawfriendlylandscapes.com
