Burbank, CA, March 20, 2008 --(
PR.com)-- Vision Media Television is working to create a nation-wide program on the topic of "saving our wild salmon". The organization known as Save Our Wild Salmon is the coalition to advocate the recovery of Wild Salmon and Steelhead Salmon. Their goal is to bring back great numbers of fish to the Columbia Basen and address environmental issues related to this region. National education on this topic is of paramount importance if these fish are to be saved in Idaho, Eastern Oregon and Eastern Washington. Lorraine Mucci, producer for the series said, “Save Our Wild Salmon is a nationwide coalition of conservation organizations, river groups, fishing associations, businesses, and taxpayer and clean energy advocates working collectively to restore abundant, sustainable wild salmon to the rivers, streams and oceans of the Western salmon states. Our desire is to set this important topic in front of our Public TV audience in order to educate them on issues relating to the environment and how salmon attribute their ecosystem viability to that story.” Mr. Christian Kelch, senior producer said, “Though “Save Our Wild Salmon’s” efforts are focused primarily on the Columbia and Snake River Basin, where more than 15 million wild salmon once returned each year, we hope the impact of the story will reach through the entire United States.”
