Vision Media Television Documentary for the National Environmental Report on Renewable Fuels - Coal
Boca Raton, FL, March 24, 2008 --(
PR.com)-- Ms. Linda Shields is working with Vision Media Television to create a nationwide program on coal as a natural resource for renewable fuels. Coal is a fossil fuel formed in swamp ecosystems where plant remains were saved by water and mud from oxidization and biodegradation. Linda Shields, producer for the program, said, “Coal is a readily combustible black or brownish-black rock. It is the largest single source of fuel for the generation of electricity world-wide, as well as the largest world-wide source of carbon dioxide emissions, slightly ahead of petroleum and about double that of natural gas.” Mr. Christian Kelch, senior producer, is working with Ms. Shields to create one of the most environmentally important programs at the studio due to the escalation of issues under the topic of renewable fuels. Mr. Kelch said, “Issues for surrounding this need to educate consumers on this topic will be demonstrated and discussed. Coal is primarily used as a solid fuel to produce electricity and heat through combustion. Currently, world coal consumption is about 6.2 billion tons annually, of which about 75% is used for the production of electricity. Consumers need to know how coal is part of the solution to the energy crisis.” For more information contact Linda Shields, Producer, 561-338-7475 EXT 197 or visit visionmediatelevision.com.
