Money Remittances Via Cell Phones by Global Technologies Investment, Inc.
Wellington, FL, March 30, 2008 --(
PR.com)-- “Our m-Remittances system is ready and moving to operations” said Enrique Pallares, Executive Director of Global Technologies Investment, Inc. (GTI)
"MoviPOS and MicroHUB, our mobile payments and transactions platforms, have been upgraded with modules that enable them to process not only m-Payments, but m-Remittances as well", continued Pallares.
Global Technologies Investment, Inc. announced today that has completed non-exclusive negotiations with TransferOrbit Corporation, a third party electronic processor provider, that currently serves as a remittances hub for a number of money transfer companies countrywide.
“Our operations are increasing in Latinamerica. We have an m-Payment network working in Ecuador in association with one of the leading banks. We have, through our subsidiary, Payment By Cell, Inc., a setup under final testing environment in Mexico, also in association with an important local bank. We opened offices in Peru and Chile with a local partner called Broadnet. Our offices in Costa Rica are working hard in the development of m-Payments and m-Transactions networks with local banks. Costa Rica is a highly regulated country, in which the Government still controls basic and mobile telephony. Guatemala, Nicaragua, El Salvador and Colombia are part of our mid-term operations” said Enrique Pallares, Executive Director of Global Technologies Investment.
Pallares continued: "Just like TransferOrbit, there are many other money remitters that are eager to find mobile points of delivery in destination countries, and we are working 24/7 in developing those m-Payment networks to serve them”.
