The show, which took place March 16th-18th at the McCormick Place in Chicago, Illinois, featured over 2,000 exhibitors according to the International Housewares Association's official website. With many of the other trade show events that ITT Licensing™ participates in boasting equal or greater number of exhibitors, a mass follow-up campaign via e-mail has proven to be the optimally effective method in contacting companies about establishing a relationship with ITT in the weeks following the conclusion of the exhibit.

ITT Licensing™ representatives typically review the entries in the official show exhibitor guide and a company's official website to familiarize themselves with an exhibitor's existing product lines and overall company philosophy and policies. For companies determined to be an appropriate fit for ITT Licensing™'s goal of locating potential licensees for its clients' inventions, an e-mail communication is composed and sent to the listed contact individual.

Companies are informed that ITT Licensing™'s purpose in contacting them is to gauge their interest in having ITT serve as a continual source of inventions for their company to review for possible licensing through Innovation Direct™, a dynamic new product idea information delivery system targeted to manufacturers.

ITT Licensing™ representatives will continue the follow-up campaign for approximately 30 days after a trade show concludes and will iniate the process of performing tailored product idea searches through the ITT roster for each company that is amenable to becoming a part of the Innovation Direct™ program.
