PR.com)-- The Comicbook Artists Guild (CAG) is hosting an Open Call for Members panel on Friday, April 18th @ 3:00 PM in Room 1E02 at the New York Comic Con 2008. The panel is hosted by Keith Murphey, Founder and President of the Comicbook Artists Guild, industry veteran and CAG Creative Director Mark Mazz, and East Coast Vice President Shawnti Therrien. All aspiring creators are invited to take part in an enlightening discussion of how CAG can unite talent together for projects and the various other ways in which talented people can benefit from membership in the Guild. All participants will receive applications, newsletters, and free periodicals for attending.
Attendees of New York Comic Con are invited to visit CAG at their Small Press Booth #2369. Their newest anthology book CAG #7 will be available for purchase, which includes the return of Bob Sodaro’s “Agent Unknown” with a special painted cover by Chris Torres. This issue also features the conclusion of the “Commander” storyline, written by Chris Buchner. CAG’s first ever Western entitled, “Reflection in the Water” by Carl Herring Jr. and Ed Coutts will bring lots of shoot ‘em up action. Ed Pereira and Ed Traquino bring you “Steel and Paper.” And don’t forget about Rockabilly Rex as he rides again in “Riders in the Sky!” There is a special flip cover story by the Filament Factory called “A History Lesson Starring: Takchaka and Squeeature."
To round off the weekend, attendees of this year’s New York Comic Con (NYCC) are invited to celebrate the Third Annual Indy After-Party on Saturday, April 19th from 7-11 PM at The Twin's Pub in New York City.
