Seccom Networks is a major managed security service provider with its security operations center in Australia. Seccom Networks secures the networks of major multinational corporations and organizations and currently provides a full suite of MSSP products to customers throughout AsiaPac and Europe. With an increasing number of clients asking for U.S.-based services, the company has been seeking the right American partner to expand its operation into the significantly larger U.S. market.

New CEO of Seccom Global, Richard Stiennon, provides considerable acumen to the team. A recognized security industry veteran, Stiennon’s experience spans Netrex, the industry’s first MSSP, as well as PricewaterhouseCoopers, Gartner, Webroot Software, and Fortinet, Inc. As a controversial Gartner analyst, Stiennon shook up the IDS world by declaring the technology ineffective.

As an evangelist at Webroot Software he helped raise awareness of the threat posed by adware and spyware, and as Chief Marketing Officer at Fortinet, Mr. Stiennon helped the industry bridge the chasm between traditional stateful inspection firewalls and UTM (Unified Threat Management) appliances.
