Newport, RI, April 26, 2008 --(PR.com)-- Maura Zeman was named Director of Hotel Sales at the Newport Marriott Hotel and Perry Kessler was named Director of Sales and Marketing. Ms. Zeman has more than 10 years of experiences at this newly renovated premier hotel in the heart of historic Newport, Rhode Island. She has twice been recognized as a top achiever for her property and she has also been recognized by Marriott International as recipient of their very prestigious President’s Circle and Chairman’s Circle awards. Zeman will retain her very large and loyal account base while leading a team of four sales managers: Ryan Larkin, handles accounts in Northeast Market including: MA, NH, ME, VT; Jeff Ezrin covers accounts in CT, NY, NJ, PA, DE and in the Mid-West ; Kristin Scott manages Rhode Island, Mid-Atlantic (VA, MD, DC) as well as all of the Southeast and South West (TX); Tammy Burns sells Catering such as Weddings, Fundraisers, Social Events and Conferences. Maura Zeman will run all of the day to day operations of the sales force, reporting up to executive committee member, Director of Sales and Marketing, Perry Kessler.

Kessler was just appointed in March, 2008, as Newport Marriott’s newest executive committee member after he concluded an 18 month project leading the opening sales force of the Renaissance Boston Waterfront Hotel. He served in positions prior such as Area Director of Hotel Sales for Marriott International, Senior Account Executive for the Boston Marriott’s Newton and Burlington, Director of Events at the Boston Marriott Copley Place, Catering Sales Manager at the Cambridge Center Marriott various other positions in the Convention and Banquet arenas. His extensive industry experiences have developed his expertise in strategic account development, team building and salesmanship. Perry is a 20 year veteran in the meetings, conferences, conventions and events industry who is active in organizations such as Meeting Planners International. He is an acclaimed speaker, panelist, trainer and facilitator.
