Leading the charge at the second annual event held May 3 at the new GE Theatre in Schenectady, NY was Rodney Saulsberry, renowned and respected voice actor and author of two popular books on voice acting. “Rodney was exceptional,” praised David Bourgeois, president and creative director of Voice Coaches. “With every story about his twenty year career, with every voice acting technique he shared, he motivated the crowd to take charge and turn their ambition into success. Among the other speakers at the day long event were voice talent super-agent Billy Serow of Abrams Artist Agency in New York City; Mark Magdich, a home recording expert with top equipment retailer Sweetwater; Evan Skolnick of the leading video game developer Vicarious Visions (a division of Activision) who spoke to voice acting in the multi-billion dollar video game industry; and David and Stephanie Ciccarelli, creators of the leading on-line voice talent marketplace, Voices.com.
