About the Artist:
Clay Doran gets his inspiration from the evolving Jacksonville urban landscape. His artwork layers print, paint, paper, and other mediums to recreate the beauty of deteriorating urban elements such as doors and windows, peeling paint, rusty metal, and decaying wood. He sees bits of the city landscape that most people do not notice, and his art represents the beauty he finds in these decaying urban fragments.
