    Case Study

    Wiping Out West Nile Virus.

    • The Challenge

Make Southern Californians aware of West Nile virus, and educate them on risks and ways of prevention.

    • The Solution

We launched a multi-cultural, educational "Wipe Out West Nile Virus" campaign. Dozens of retailers, corporate sponsors and media participated in this effort, enabling us to multiply our budget tenfold and provide information in five languages to a diverse population of Southern Californians.

    • The Results

We reached more than 13 million Southern Californians an average of two times and awareness of West Nile virus shot up 80% following the launch of the campaign.

Thanks to support from Stater Bros., Ralphs, Albertsons, Food-4-Less, Longs Drugs, Savon, Lowe's, OSH, Costco, 7-Eleven, SC Johnson and the Southern California Broadcasters Association, we exceeded our goals two years in a row.
