Major Security Flaw Discovered in Leading Banks' Credit Card Information Systems

A Boston consumer advocate just discovered a security flaw when calling the automated phone number on the back of credit cards from Chase and Bank of America. With a little bit of finagling, a hacker could easily access other people’s recent credit card activity, including their outstanding balance, credit available, when they made their last payment and for how much, and individual purchase transactions. - August 22, 2011
