E-book publishing is a cost effective method of digital content delivery. Mascon has wide experience in publishing e-books in a number of formats, and targeted towards various delivery platforms.
We create PDF, REB, OEB and LIT formats destined for computers and handheld devices. We have successfully delivered large e-book creation projects to numerous international clients.
Methodology adopted:
Text is extracted from either Hard Copy / TIFF / PDF / page layout formats such as Quark, Pagemaker etc. This is initially converted to XML and then further processed to the Open E-book Standard(OEB 1.0) and from there on to different e-book formats as specified by the client.
Project Experience
I) Project: E-book Creation
Client: US-based client
Scope of Work: Creation of 200 E-books in PDF format within a period of 6 months.
Volume in Units: There were over 55,000 pages to be converted from TIFF to PDF Format.
II) Project: E-book Creation
Client: US-based client
Scope of Work: Creation of 40 E-books in OEB and LIT format within a period of 10 days.
Volume in Units: There were over 12,000 pages to be converted from PDF to Oeb and Lit.
III) Project: XML Conversion

Volume in Units: There were 15,000 articles with over 60,000 pages to be converted from Hard Copy to tagged XML format.
