Capabilities

Developing Key Corporate Statements
Whether it be at a corporate or departmental level, or both, GDM Consulting will work with the client to develop and refine each of the following items. These precursors to a formal strategic plan will be clearly documented and communicated.
- Value Statement
- Statement of Purpose
- Corporate Vision
- Mission
- Goals and Objective

SWOT Analysis and Mapping
Evaluating internal (Strengths and Weaknesses) and external (Opportunities and Threats) criteria is a critical element in strategy development. It is only once a SWOT review is complete that the future strategy may be readily apparent or, as is more likely the case, a series of strategies or combinations of tactics will suggest themselves. GDM Consulting can effectively support the client organization in performance of a complete SWOT analysis.

Methodically Preparing the Strategic Plan
GDM Consulting will partner with clients to review existing or create new strategic plans. A critical review of past performance by organizational leaders and the preparation of a plan beyond normal budgetary horizons will require a certain attitude of mind and predisposition. Some essential points which will be observed during the review and planning process include the following:
- The plan will relate to the medium term (2-4 years)
- Plan development will be separated from day-to-day work
- Progress of plan development will be reviewed periodically
GDM Consulting will prepare a comprehensive business plan which will include the identification of critical issues, line of business definition, market and financial anlayses, scalable financial models, and appropriate action plans.

Creating Departmental and Functional Operations Plans
Developing a corporate strategic plan is not enough in a large, mature organization. Each Line of Business (LOB) must have its own plan, as does each functional area. GDM Consulting will work with functional leaders to develop these plans and ensure their alignment with the corporate goals and objectives.
