SPARKt Announces Spring Conference in Chicago
Chicago, IL, March 20, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Real estate professionals gather in downtown to stay on top of the latest technologies, and embrace them to benefit their clients and practices in a transforming economy.
Real estate industry professionals are cordially invited to attend SPARKt, a conference event that bridges the digital divide between consumers and real estate professionals through education, and collaboration. The event will take place on April 29, 2009 from 12:00 – 5:00 p.m. at Tech Nexus, 200 South Wacker Drive, Suite 1500 in Chicago, IL.
This is the second SPARKt conference held in Chicago. Similar to the inaugural conference in December, 2008, this event will be attended by everyone from Realtors, Developers and Marketers to Attorneys and Lenders. Throughout the day, attendees will be immersed in the discussion of industry and technology relevant topics such as the effects of social media, mobile applications for real estate, the expanded use of video online and more.
Speaking at the conference is Glenn B. Manishin, a Washington, D.C. attorney with expertise in competition, intellectual property and policy advocacy for technology-based enterprises. Manishin is best known for leading the coalition of software companies opposing the settlement in United States v. Microsoft, perhaps the most significant antitrust case in history. Brock Meeks, Chief Washington correspondent for MSNBC.com will also be speaking at the conference. Covering beats ranging from technology to civil liberties to legislative attempts aimed at taming the Internet, Meeks Brock created and developed the homeland security beat for MSNBC.com after 9/11. Both speakers will be addressing the recent changes to Facebook’s Terms of Service and the conditions of privacy in the social media space.
