The Matador Cantina Announces the Appointment of Xavier Perez to General Manager

Perez will oversee daily restaurant and bar operations

Fullerton, CA, March 25, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Scheduled to open at the beginning of April, the Matador Cantina, announced today the appointment of Xavier Perez to General Manager. In addition to his penchant for exemplary customer service, Perez brings many years of expert restaurant management skills to the position. In his roll, Perez will oversee daily restaurant and lounge operations.

Commenting on the appointment, Matador managing partner Mario Marovic said, “Xavier was always our top consideration. His past restaurant experience combined with his fondness for detail and intimate knowledge of the hospitality sector will undoubtedly prove invaluable.”

Past restaurants under his watchful eye include Camacho’s Cantina in Universal City, Calif. and the former Blanca in Costa Mesa, Calif. Perez also ran AXP, a successful design and event catering company, which further underscores his diverse, multifaceted experience.

Born and raised in Los Angeles, Calif. Perez graduated from The Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising. For over 10 years he focused on making any celebration a success by enhancing the food, and the overall look and feel of the events that he coordinated.

The Matador will serve Mexican-inspired cuisine, premium tequilas, Spanish, Californian and South American wines; and menu items tailored for express lunch, dinner, Saturday and Sunday Brunch, as well as Take-Out and Catering.

The Matador Cantina is located at 111 North Harbor Blvd, Fullerton, CA. Lunch will be served daily from 11am, 365 days a year. Brunch will be served from 11am Saturday and Sunday.
