Simi Valley Police Foundation Hires Executive Director

The Simi Valley Police Foundation has hired Jeanne M. Brown as Executive Director.

Simi Valley, CA, November 08, 2010 --(PR.com)-- The Simi Valley Police Foundation has selected nonprofit professional Jeanne M. Brown as its first executive director. Since 1997, the Foundation has provided financial support to the Simi Valley Police Department for unfunded programs, services, and technology.

Brown’s responsibilities will be to: identify and cultivate new donors, develop and implement a communications plan, establish a comprehensive fundraising calendar, assist the board of directors with identification and achievement strategic goals, and create standard operating procedures.

An East Ventura County resident since 1989, Brown has nearly 20 years of broad nonprofit and public relations experience. From 2001 to 2009 she managed daily operations and the implementation of a comprehensive fund development program at the Moorpark College Foundation.

Most recently, Brown has done grant writing and public relations for a variety of nonprofits, has been a correspondent for the Ventura County Star, and has posted articles on news for nonprofits on the Internet with her blog called Fearless Fundraising.

"She is an extremely energetic and organized professional and is well suited to assist the Foundation which is poised for growth," said Board President Alan Barkwill.

"I am enthused about working at the grass roots level with an organization so devoted to making Simi Valley a safer community,” Brown said.
