Indianapolis, IL, August 01, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Suess's Pieces, a blog for writers and readers, recently got a new look. The site, which operates on a premium WordPress theme, now features a streamlined layout. The magazine-style blog theme works hand-in-hand with the site's new content focus on general interest articles, personal diary posts, book reviews, and special guest posts.

In celebration of the new look, the site's owner and chief writer, Emily Suess, is announcing a full week of special feature posts beginning on August 1. Family and Friends Week will run from August 1, 2011 through August 5, 2011. Each day a new guest post will be featured on the website. Five of Suess's family and friends contributed guest content for the special event.

"These writers and bloggers are all people I know personally. This personal connection adds an extra level of interest for my long-time readers who have come to know me through my diary-like posts. Each guest post is as unique as the guest author, and I think readers will enjoy editorial content presented from a different perspective. Blog posts for Family and Friends Week are written by my boyfriend, a former boss, two long-time blog friends, and even my sister-in-law," said Emily Suess, owner of Suess's Pieces. One new guest post will be published each morning during Family and Friends Week from August 1 - 5, 2011. Titles include 'It's Like Running a Monster Truck All Over Your Body,' 'On Jobs and Bad Break-Ups' and 'Has Technology Outpaced Common Decency?'

"Weeklong features are going to make regular appearances on the site as we look for ways to curate content that is entertaining for all of our readers. Plans are already in the works for Writers' Week in September. Posts during that week will focus on building a new community of writers while giving them support, tips, advice and encouragement. Writers' Week will kick off with a contest for professional and amateur writers on Monday, September 12," said Suess.

Other weeklong, special content features on Suess's Pieces will be announced in the coming months. Those interested in sponsoring features or contributing content to the website can contact Emily Suess directly.
