Give Me Dap Launches New Website That Celebrates Fist Bumps, High-Fives, and Handshakes

Washington, DC, March 03, 2012 --( The founders of the Give Me Dap website today announced the site is live and online. The website is devoted to celebrating the fist bump, the handshake, the high-five, the “dap”, and the funny yet awkward moment when you realize the greeting doesn’t go as planned. The new site has so far received excellent reviews and contributions of content in the form of pictures and videos from people throughout the world.

The new website is the perfect place for people who are looking to be entertained by funny memes, videos, and pictures which are exclusively related to handshakes, high fives, and fist bumps. Whether it’s an awkward greeting or an impressive handshake that’s been in the news, the website’s visitors will find it and post it for the public to enjoy.

The handshake has been around as long as humans have existed on this planet. It is a universal form of greeting in many countries while in other areas of the world people close business deals with a handshake. The high-five has been around for centuries as well to convey excitement and euphoria over something which is accomplished.

The fist bump however, is something new as is the “dap”. A few years ago when Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama stepped up to the podium he was greeted by his wife, Michelle, with a hug, a kiss, and a little fist bump. The media had a field day with the fist bump and used it as content for months afterwards. The Baltimore Sun describes the fist bump as, "a bare-knuckles kiss." Give Me Dap not only brings famous presidential fist bumps but offers all of the trending handshake routines and embarrassing fails found in the sports world. From New York Knicks' new sensation Jeremy Lin’s pre-game handshake to infamous soccer handshake snubs, Give Me Dap will have it.

Other people say the “dap” is the routine of bringing hands together as a form of respect or a greeting when two friends meet. Whatever people decide to call it, a dap is in its simplest form a hand-to-hand greeting that is seen all over the world.
