Hide out from Friday the 13th, Tax Day During “The Nightmare on Tax Week” at Arizona's British Open Pub

Scottsdale, AZ, April 12, 2012 --(PR.com)-- Arizona residents don’t need to live in fear of Friday the 13th or Tax Day this year, with British Open Pub warding off the stress of a scary weekend of superstition and taxes with great comfort food and drink deals designed to alleviate the anxiety of anyone.

Friday, April 13, is the second of three Friday the 13ths in 2012 and to top it off, Tax Day is the same weekend, with April 15 falling on Sunday. While the IRS gives taxpayers an extra day to file, the stress of superstitions and taxes might be a little more than the average person will want to handle this year, according to Gregg Troilo, owner of the British Open Pub.

“What a week,” Troilo said. “It’s Friday the 13th, which, let’s face it, gets a lot of people bent out of shape, and, to top it off, taxes are due on Monday. It’s enough to make anyone a little batty.”

The British Open Pub will be ready with their home-made macaroni and cheese, $4.95; grown-up grilled cheese with tomatoes and bacon, $5.45; Philly Cheesesteak served with sautéed onions, bell peppers and mozzarella, $8.95; and a variety of home-style favorites, including bread pudding and chocolate cake, $5.95 each.

“For those who are really feeling the strain, we have our ‘Get Loaded with Loaded French Fries,’” said Troilo. “They’re fresh potato French fries absolutely loaded with bacon, cheddar cheese, and green onions. They’re a favorite for making you feel good no matter what your trouble.”

The Nightmare on Tax Week drink deal are $2.75 Bud Light pints all week long, from open to close, and happy hour specials, from 3 to 7 p.m., that include $3 wells and $6.75 Guinness pints. Loaded French fries are $5.99.

Scottsdale’s British Open Pub has something for everyone. Whether it’s authentic English food like Bangers and Mash, traditional American comfort food, a massive selection of beers from around the world or simply a fun pub to watch the day’s biggest sporting events, British Open Pub is the spot for all things English.

The British Open Pub is located at 1334 N. Scottsdale Road in Scottsdale, Arizona, on the southwest corner of Scottsdale and McDowell roads.
