Miami, FL, September 19, 2012 --(PR.com
)-- The Nadadores of South Florida, one of Miami-Dade County’s longest-running sports teams, will host its 12th annual Noche Nadadores fundraiser on Saturday, Sept. 22, 2012 at 8 p.m. at the KMP Furniture Gallery in Miami’s historic MiMo District. The annual fundraiser, which has been taking place for more than a decade, promotes awareness of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) initiatives in the community, while celebrating diversity and inclusiveness.
This year’s event will feature a swimsuit fashion show with a variety of swimsuit designs courtesy of the Creative Male store, a silent auction, DJ, gourmet treats and open bar. Proceeds from the event will benefit SAVE Foundation — whose mission is to promote, protect and defend equality for the LGBT community in Miami-Dade County — and also help support the Nadadores’ all-inclusive year-round swim program in Miami.
“The Nadadores of South Florida is comprised of a diverse group of swimmers committed to giving back to the community that has given us so much during the last 18 years,” said Kirk Arthur, team co-captain of the Nadadores. “The incredible support we received from the community at last year’s event helped us raise over $6,000 of which a portion was donated to GLAAD and we are aiming to go above and beyond that amount this year.”
The official Noche Nadadores after-party will be held at The Dugout Sports Bar at 3215 NE 2 Ave. in Midtown. There is plenty of free parking in the back of the building.
The Nadadores are still accepting sponsors and donations of silent auction items. For more information, please contact Chris Gates or Diego Suarez at email@example.com.
Tickets are $30 and can be purchased online at www.nadadores.org/noche-nadadores/. KMP Furniture Gallery is located at 6444 Biscayne Blvd., Miami, FL 33138.
