)-- The law firm of Buckley King is expanding its corporate practice with the addition of the lawyers of Bender, Alexander & Broome Co., LPA, who have merged their practices into the Firm. J.Timothy Bender, Joseph P. Alexander, and J.Scott Broome focus on civil tax controversy, criminal tax and "allied offenses" representation, white-collar criminal defense, estate and tax planning, corporate governance, and business and real estate transactions.
Bender is known to be among the most skillful, pragmatic and accomplished strategists in civil and criminal tax matters. He is recognized as one of the "Best Lawyers in America" in both Tax Controversy and White-Collar Crime, and represents individuals and corporations subject to financial investigation through trial and appeals. Having worked for the IRS, Bender is particularly adept at handling tax controversies with the IRS as well as with state and local taxing authorities, including income tax, estate tax, sales/use tax and excise tax audits.
Alexander advises clients on business and tax matters, including audits and tax appeals, entity selection and formation, and real estate transactions.
