Miami, FL, November 02, 2018 --(PR.com
)-- The company Fondos Latinos, a subsidiary of BNYM Bank, has reached an agreement with Visa, on September 6 of this year; which allows them to issue debit cards for customers in Latinoamérica, as the online financial services company moves more in the traditional territory of retail banking.
The two companies have signed an agreement to collaborate to offer payment services throughout the continent.
As part of the agreement, Fondos Latinos, which already has a banking license for Latinoamérica, may offer Visa debit cards.
The measure is expected to be especially attractive to users who, in their countries of origin, national banks do not issue debit cards to them.
Fondos Latinos has used its banking license largely for treasury functions, investments in the stock market and banking contracts with government entities.
The agreement with Visa opens a broader customer base as the company moves to retail banking.
Fondos Latinos already offers prepaid cards with MasterCard in some countries, such as Mexico and Brazil.
The agreement with Visa will allow users of Fondos Latinos to access Visa's contactless payment points in retail stores and throughout Latinoamérica, which gives customers access to retail transactions in stores and various businesses.
