Free Santa Ana Preschool Reduces Its Minimum Age Enrollment Requirement

CANO State Preschool will begin accepting 2.9-year-old children into its school, effective July 1, 2019, in accordance to recent legislative changes. This presents an opportunity for greater increase in enrollment.

Santa Ana, CA, March 06, 2019 --(PR.com)-- CANO (Council of Affiliated Negro Organizations, Inc.) State Preschool promotes children’s educational goals through high-quality, free instruction to children of diverse backgrounds. It serves 3 to 5-year-old children primarily of Santa Ana and throughout Orange County, California. All classes and meals are free, with low-income households as first priority. CANO’S objective is to inspire young children to impact the community in order to improve the social, economic, political, civic, and moral good of the citizens.

Due to recent legislative changes in enrollment, CANO will accept children who turn 2.9 years old by December 1, 2019. This policy goes into effect on July 1, 2019, enabling the school to enroll children sooner and at an earlier age for free. Applications are available from the teachers and in the school’s office during regular operating hours.

CANO State Preschool is now taking applications for the 2019-20 school year, so parents of eligible children are encouraged to inquire.

CANO remains a partner in QualityStart OC, a community initiative led by the Orange County Department of Education. QualityStart OC helps support early-learning teachers and programs by giving them the tools and resources they need to create a safe, high-quality learning environment for a child, including promotion of quality early learning through assessment and professional development. Through CANO’s participation in this initiative, it proudly expresses value in the quality of enrolled children’s early learning experience.
