Rock-N-Role Couture

Client since 2005

Rock-N-Role couture is deconstructed and reconstructed clothing for rock stars and people who live like them. Each garment is handmade and hand painted. Like snowflakes, no two are alike. Ali MacLean, LA based rock journo/Dj/muse, designs and hand makes these one-of-a kind pieces, influenced by the music and musicians she is inspired by.

The current season of the R-N-R line, “I Won’t Grow Up”, is inspired by the lost boys of Neverland and the lost souls in music. For the rock chicks, tattered gowns adorned with chains, charms and lyrics to live by. For the men, coats with tails, waistcoats, ties and tees. Highly stylized, Rock-N-Role has already created a following by such well known bands as Sum 41 and Bloc Party as well as many up and coming artists.

Rock-N-Role has made its mark and has already been featured in LA Weekly, Inthescenemagazine.com, and Nylon Magazine as well as at fashion shows at South By Southwest and in LA. Stars like Fiona Apple, Liz Phair, Michelle Deighton of America’s Next Top Model and Yangom Braun, villainess of Aeon Flux, are all big fans of the line as are Block Party and Johnny Fairplay. The line can be found at Sirens and Sailors as well as on the website at www.rock-n-role.com .
