Biography

Mr. Eidbo is CEO of the Association of Organ Procurement Organizations (AOPO). He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Biology from Concordia College in MN, and a Master in Business Administration from Willamette University in Oregon.

Mr. Eidbo began his service with AOPO in 2010 as executive director and became CEO in 2014. Prior to AOPO, Mr. Eidbo was involved in various aspects of both organ and tissue donation for over 20 years. From 1992 to 2000, Mr. Eidbo worked for the Washington Regional Transplant Community (WRTC), the federally designated organ and tissue recovery agency for the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area. He served in a variety of positions within the organization including organ and tissue recovery coordinator, manager of tissue services and ultimately the director of organ and tissue recovery services. Following his tenure with WRTC, he served as director of biological resources for large scale biology corporation working in the field of proteomic research. For six years Mr. Eidbo served as an independent consultant in the field of organ and tissue donation, notably as an inspector for the American Association of Tissue Banks (AATB), auditing or inspecting over 100 tissue banks.
