Natural Energy Group 1 MW Solar PV System

Located at Natural Energy Group, 813 Andrew Johnson Highway, Knoxville, TN 37871
The array consists of 4,608 SHARP solar photovoltaic panels which are manufactured in Tennessee. This project impacted 765 jobs within the state of Tennessee.
Covers an area of 5.5 acres, equivalent to 1.3 times the size of a football field
Will generate enough energy (carbon-free energy!) to power 120 average homes annually

Stephen Smith has been an advocate of renewable clean energy for over two decades. Stephen Smith’s leadership and dedication is a key factor to the success of the rapidly emerging solar industry in the state of Tennessee. Having such a longtime advocate for Solar Energy install the first panel in the first Megawatt Solar PV system in the TVA region was a tribute to all the hard work that preceded this historical moment.
Natural Energy Group's Solar PV system is the first Megawatt installation in the seven state TVA region.
