2010 Inc. 5000 has the latest list ranking of America's fastest-growing private companies compiled by Inc. Magazine.

The Comerica Collin 60 exists to honor the fastest growing companies in the area. This years event was held at the Marriott Legacy in Plano.

The ranking is based purely on the percentage of growth from the base year of 2005 through 2006, 2007 and 2008. The last year’s growth is slightly weighted to give importance to the recent results and to insure that the companies are truly ascending. The numbers were fed into the Grant Thornton computers and the ranking was calculated; there are no subjective criteria.

RMCN Credit Services, Inc. was ranked as the 20th fastest growing company in Collin County.

The Inc. 500|5000 is ranked according to percentage revenue growth from 2005 through 2008. To qualify, companies must have been founded and generating revenue by the first week of 2005, and therefore able to show four full calendar years of sales. Additionally, they have to be U.S.-based, privately held, for profit, and independent -- not subsidiaries or divisions of other companies -- as of December 31, 2008 (a number of companies on the list have gone public or been acquired since that date). Revenue in 2005 must have been at least $200,000, and revenue in 2008 must have been at least $2 million.

The 5000 companies that made the list reported aggregate revenue of $185 billion and median three-year growth of 147 percent. Most important, the 2008 Inc. 5000 companies were engines of job growth, having created more than 826,033 jobs since those companies were founded.
