In its 40th year, the annual ACE Awards celebrate creative excellence in business-to-business marketing communications.
Gigante Vaz Partners received the silver award for the “I Get Ideas” television campaign they created for Ricoh Corporation. The campaign captured the attention and imagination of prospects by featuring Louis Armstrong’s Jazz Standard, “I Get Ideas” as background for scenes that depict workers carrying out typical office tasks using Ricoh products to move their ideas forward. The commercials acknowledge the role of Ricoh office solutions in the very human tasks of everyday people as they turn ideas into reality. This human connection, combined with the strong emotional appeal of Armstrong’s music, helped elevate Ricoh and separate it from the other companies in the office imaging sector. The television campaign was honored in Broadcast, Television Campaign category.
