Brussels, Belgium, May 04, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Jpb.com, developers of Jenni innovation process management, have noted a surge of interest in their idea management software from emerging economies in 2010. The firm has recently signed a contract with Agra, a leading agricultural co-op in Namibia. Jpb.com has also served clients such as Primedia
and Sterkinekor in South Africa as well as SSJ in Brazil and an entertainment firm in China. The company is currently in talks or negotiations with firms from a variety of industries in Dubai, Turkey, South Africa and Vietnam.

“In the past, queries from emerging economies were relatively rare and seldom very serious,” remarked jpb.com managing director Jeffrey Baumgartner. “However, in the past six months we have seen a surge of interest from the emerging economies. Moreover, they are very serious. We anticipate that some 25% of our new business in 2010 will be derived from companies in these markets.”

Innovation in emerging economies is a recognized trend. The Economist newspaper noted in its 17 April 2010 issue: “Emerging countries are no longer content to be sources of cheap hands and low-cost brains. Instead they too are becoming hotbeds of innovation producing breakthroughs in everything from telecoms to car-making to health care. They are redesigning products
to reduce costs not just by 10% but by up to 90%.”

“This very much confirms what we are seeing,” observes Baumgartner. “Moreover, we are finding that decision makers in companies in these markets are far more pragmatic and down to earth than many of those based in developed countries. The former don't waste time with jargon or internal bureaucracy. They get right to the point. And frankly, I like that a lot.”

Baumgartner himself has substantial emerging market experience, having spent 10 years working in Bangkok, where he launched two start-ups including one of the country's first Internet and multimedia development companies, JPB Creative Co, Ltd, widely regarded as a new media pioneer in Thailand. As a result, he understands that things taken for granted in Europe and America, such as reliable infrastructure, educated employees and honest public officials, are sometimes absent in emerging economies. Hence, firms need to find creative solutions to problems unimaginable to the typical American manager.

Jenni itself is also well suited to companies in emerging markets. An enterprise idea management software, it runs on the web allowing users to access it via web browsers. Moreover, Jenni does all of its processing in the server, delivering relatively compact html web pages which load quickly even when connectivity is slow. Jenni has also been configured for multilingual interfaces and can quickly be localized using a translation tool managed by Jpb.com.

Jpb.com is based in Belgium, with authorized representatives in North America, South America, Europe, Africa and Australia. It boasts that it has worked with clients on every continent except Antarctica. “But we are in talks with some penguins there who are interested in Jenni,” observes Baumgartner with a smile.
