Wet® Donates Safe Sex Kits and Personal Lubricant to the University of the Arts

Donation to the Peer Support, Peer Education Program Will Help Educate Students About Safe Sex Practices.

Los Angeles, CA, November 24, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Wet®, the world’s best-selling specialty line of personal lubricants and intimacy products, has donated safe sex kits to the Peer Support, Peer Education (PSPE) program at the University of the Arts in Philadelphia. The kits, which each consist of one condom and one packet of Wet Platinum® Premium Lubricant will be part of PSPE’s new “Sex in a Box” project. This project aims to make safe sex materials and PSPE's resource guide more accessible to students. In addition to the kits, packets of Wet® Flavored™ Kiwi Strawberry™ lubricant will be distributed to participating students. The items will be packaged and delivered within the university and available for pick up in the residential life office every month for students.

“Wet's involvement in the project has helped our launch of ‘Sex in a Box’ tremendously,” said D. D’Ontace Keyes, Founding President of Peer Support, Peer Education. “The company’s commitment of resources has allowed us to provide University of the Arts students with safe sex materials and information at a faster rate and at a greater quality than ever before. With Wet’s support, we hope to give students the perspective that the HIV/AIDS epidemic does not affect just one person, but a community.”

Peer Support, Peer Education’s mission is to educate students about safe sexual practices and encourage them to be aware of their HIV and STI status via innovative student programming. Peer Support, Peer Education (PSPE) aims to promote HIV/AIDS awareness through education, community outreach and empowerment of the University of the Arts community. PSPE advocates for those affected and infected by HIV/AIDS both in and outside the University of the Arts community.
