Naples, FL, November 22, 2012 --(PR.com)-- December 5th at 5pm. FGCU Business and Engineer students are teaming up to bring new products to the market. Students have been building their products and business plans during the fall semester and will be bringing their ideas to life as they demo them at the entrepreneurship hub in SWFL, Venture X.

The students of Business Plan Development professor, Dr. Sandy Kauanui, and Engineering Entrepreneurship professor Dr. Lisa Zidek have been working with Goodwill in order to develop an entirely new and efficient product for people with disabilities and disadvantages. The engineering students challenge is to develop and build a prototype while the business students develop the professional business plan to raise funds and market the new product.

The students will come together as a team to present their ideas and plans in the form of a pitch to a panel of judges made up of angel investors and serial entrepreneurs David Diamond, John DeAngelis and Brett Diamond. Winning teams will receive $1,000 from Venture X.

Venture X exists to inspire entrepreneurship by providing a creative, innovative and affordable office space and community for small businesses, startups, freelancers and entrepreneurs, as well as developing and sponsoring events that promote entrepreneurship like the Eagle Biz Awards.
