Tses, Namibia, July 06, 2013 --(PR.com)-- Tses Glass (Pty) Ltd, the premier glass manufacturing company in Namibia, has signed a Project Management and Engineering Agreement with Germany-based Heye International GmbH in Obernkirchen, Germany on July 2, 2013 for its new Container Glass plant.

Heye International GmbH is one of the foremost suppliers of glass technology, high performance solutions, and know-how to the container glass industry worldwide, which since 2003 has been part of the France-based multi-national Ardagh Group.

Tses Glass is being developed to have all four separate manufacturing plants in a single location in Tses, Southern Namibia; starting out with a 250 tons per day Container Glass Plant, 600 tons per day Float Glass Plant, 350 tons per day Tableware Glass Plant, and 200 tons per day Ultrathin Glass Plant, making it the largest dynamic glass manufacturing hub in the world.

"With the signing of this historic Agreement, along with the completion of our Feasibility Study and Technical Plant Concept Design by Heye International in such a short time since we started with the planning of the Tses Glass development in mid last year, this implies that the development of the Tses Glass factories is now a reality and we seek the full support and cooperation of all the stakeholders without any further delay in order to implement the Tses Glass Container Glass Plant for the development of the economy of our country and give our people the much needed better paying jobs," exclaims Hon. Brian Gaoseb, Chairperson of Tses Village Council and Co-founder and Chairman of Tses Glass.

The leading Germany-based companies including Zippe, Siemens, MSK, Grenzebach, and ghs|glass gmbh are the core OEM supplying partners for the Tses Glass Manufacturing Plant with selected local based companies including Aurecon to provide specialized engineering and technical services for the successful implementation of the Tses Glass factories.

"By partnering with these companies, which are some of the world’s top companies engaged in manufacturing and providing top quality equipment, technology, and processes supply for the glass industry, we seek and guarantee to produce high quality glass products for our customers," states Rina da Cruz, Co-Founder and Vice-Chairperson of Tses Glass.

The development of Tses Glass expects to create more than 230,000 new direct and indirect better paying job opportunities in Tses and throughout Namibia. Tses Glass was officially launched by Hon. David Boois, Berseba Constituency Councilor, on February 6, 2013 in Tses with more than 500 people in attendance.

"It is only through the manufacturing of our own products that Namibia can truly reach an economic independence and realize our Vision 2030. And it is about time, that we as Namibians, stop relying on other countries to manufacture goods for us. We should be the one supplying the world’s market with fine and quality products, proudly made in Namibia. Namibia can be the Switzerland of Africa, but only if we start now, and Tses Glass is just the beginning," explains Julia Nujoma, Co-founder and Director of Tses Glass.

The construction of the Tses Glass Container Glass will start in May 2014 and be completed 26 months later. However, between now and May 2014, different infrastructure projects such as energy, water, transport, and raw materials need to be developed independently and be fully operational before the construction start in order to efficiently serve the Tses Glass Container Glass factory.
