Plastic Surgery Clinic and Spa Expands Medical Team with the Addition of Board-Certified Plastic Surgeon to Provide Medical Treatments Including Body Contouring and Breast Surgery
Durham, NC, October 02, 2013 --(PR.com)-- Healing Waters Spa & Cosmetic Clinic, a plastic surgery clinic and spa, has announced the expansion of its medical team with the hiring of Joseph Franklin, M.D., FACS, a board-certified plastic surgeon. Dr. Franklin joins the Healing Waters plastic surgery department as the new medical director and lead plastic surgeon for its Durham clinic, located at 6813 Fayetteville Rd. across from the Streets at Southpoint. Dr. Franklin’s practice expertise encompasses a broad range of plastic surgical procedures, with a focus on breast surgery for both cosmetic and reconstructive purposes.
Dr. Franklin completed his plastic surgery residency at The Department of Plastic Surgery at the University of Tennessee College of Medicine at Memphis, and his general surgery residency at Vidant Medical Center (formerly Pitt County Memorial Hospital) in Greenville, N.C. Dr. Franklin currently serves as a clinical instructor at the Brody School of Medicine, and from 2007-2010 he served as the Medical Director for University Health Systems of Eastern Carolina Cleft Lip-Craniofacial Clinic in Greenville, N.C. Dr. Franklin is very active in charitable work for both the arts and sciences and volunteers with many organizations benefiting children, including St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and the Children’s Miracle Network.
Healing Waters Spa & Cosmetic Clinic will host an open house on Thursday, Oct. 10 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. to officially welcome Dr. Franklin to the Healing Waters team.
